Silver Molybdenum Series (AgMo)
The performance of AgMo (Silver Molybdenum) contact is similar to that of the Silver Tungsten (AgW) material. It has properties of high electrical and thermal conductivities of silver base as well as high melting point and high arc resistance of Molybdenum base. The composite material is produced by the powder metallurgy method. The self-cleaning effect of the molybdenum base provides AgMo contacts with stable contact impedance under long-term operation than that of AgW ones.
AgMo series are generally manufactured by infiltration process and commonly applied in the motor starter of automobiles.
